Young Tai's 2104 Tai New Year Poem

Happy New Year 2104!

Where the town surrounded by Mountains

When the winter wind step in

In the heart of her peoples’ hope

Out of the reach of the world’ awareness

Near the eyes of stranger’ control

Away from the history’ spirit

In front the mouth of swallowing

Behind the right of justice

With the native with beautiful mind

Without their national authority sponsor  

On the street of cold night

Under the misty sky

You’ll hear the songs with great feeling

The youths are grouping Carol singing

Under Culture and Literature Association  

By greeting and wishing for New Year

By return as receiving donation fund  

For their Traditional Great New Year Festival

Self funding festival

Self administrative festival

Self duty festival

The only greatest festival of the year

The only happiest festival in their life

The only famous festival on their land

The only chance to show their identity

The only way to maintain their culture

The only speech to remind their peoples

The only word to tell the world

Do you know!

That is where and who are they?

They are the Tai/Shan people

Celebrating their New Year on Tai/Shanland
