The Good Will Triumph!

This is a moment in history

We will never forget

When our venerable Sangha

Led our countrymen

To march through the streets

Of Burma

 

We are winning

And we will win.

This fight for freedom

And human justice

Is worth every step that we take

 

We have endured too long

Being cruelly mistreated

By the evil regime

They have committed

Gross crimes against

Humanity

Against all the peoples

Of our beloved homeland

 

Many of us have been suffering

Unnecessarily, losing our homes,

Loved ones and country

Suffering poverty and persecution

 

We would rather die

Doing something to free our people

Than to die doing nothing

 

We will triumph

Even if we are mown down

Or shot by these wicked men

 

The Lord Buddha is on our side

He is guiding us all the way

 

If we have to die

He will welcome us with open arms

For we will not have died in vain

 

He is happy that we are sacrificing

Ourselves for our people

Our freedom and our homeland
