122: New Clinic in Loi Taileng - 14th May 2010
The SSDF (Shan State Development Foundation) and its Partners (Associated Groups) opened a new clinic at Loi Taileng, the headquarters of RCSS (Restoration Council of Shan State). The clinic serves as a place where people in the surrounding area can go and get medical aid.
At the opening ceremony of the new clinic on 2 May, 2010, Chairman of RCSS, Col. Sao Yawd Serk, Executive Committee Members, Representatives of Partners (Associated Groups), Chairman of Support Development Foundation, physicians and invited guests participated in the ceremony.
According to the agenda of the ceremony, the Chairman of RCSS and patrons cut the ceremonial ribbon and declared the clinic open. Following that, Col. Yawd Serk, Loong Tha Tu, Representative of Partners (Associated Group) and Dr. Naw Pha Hsa Ke gave speeches. Chairman Sao Yawd Serk said that he was very glad and thanked the groups who help established and erect the clinic, and also those who took part in the establishment. The speeches also included about the difficulty of health care in the Shan State, the Shan State not having many physicians, comments about health care and about how they would benefit from the new clinic.
After the clinic was declared opened, those who attended the ceremony were served with lunch.
